Here's a way to remember the important features of squamous cell carcinoma in-situ of the penis:
Erythroplasia of Queyrat
- Older men
- Solitary or multiple erythematous plaques on the glans and foreskin
- Progresses to invasive SCC in <10%
Bowen Disease
- Older men
- Solitary grey-white plaque on the shaft and scrotum
- Progresses to invasive SCC in <10%
Bowenoid Papulosis
- Young sexually active men (HPV-related)
- Multiple red-brown papules on the shaft
- Does NOT progress to invasive carcinoma
