Pharmacology Mnemonic
Cimetidine is a histamine H2 receptor blocker that inhibits the production of acid in the stomach.
Here's how to remember the effect of Cimetidine on cytochrome p450:
Cimetidine is like “cement” and p450 gets stuck in it => decreased p450.
Cimetidine is a known inhibitor of cytochrome p450 enzyme system which leads to drug interactions by decreasing the metabolism of some drugs!
