Answer: "Strawberry Cervix" caused by Trichomonas vaginalis
The term “strawberry cervix” is used to describe the appearance of the cervix due to the presence of T. vaginalis protozoa. The cervical mucosa has punctate hemorrhages conveying the appearence of a strawberry.
Wet mount preparations of vaginal secretions can help identify the oval flagellated parasites in a background of neutrophils.
