Can I practice in California without doing a residency?
This is a question that I get frequently! Here is an interesting way for IMG’s who are well established in their own country to practice in California at a medical school?

"Special Faculty Permit" under Section 2168 of the Business and Professions Code
For this permit, you must have:
1. A Dean of a California Medical School who recognizes your skills and abilities and is willing to sponors you.
2. Be recognized as academically eminent in his or her field of specialty.
