The "Silent Bob" actor and "Clerks" director Kevin Smith was almost "silenced for good" by a massive heart attack due to a "widow-maker" occlusion! 
After the first show this evening, I had a massive heart attack. The Doctor who saved my life told me I had 100% blockage of my LAD artery (aka “the Widow-Maker”). World famous actor and director Kevin Smith, age 47, suffered a massive myocardial infarction on Feb 25th 2018 due to 100% occlusion of the left anterior descending artery (LAD). The proximal 1-2cm of the LAD is known as the "widow maker" because it is the most common site for atherosclerosis as well as myocardial infarctions and is also the most lethal site for an MI hence the name of the widow maker! An LAD occlusion will lead to an anterior wall myocardial infarction.
He was between shows in Glendale California when he started feeling bad and fortunately decided to cancel his final show and head to the hospital. If not treated quickly he might not be with us. He is one of my favorite actors and directors and I wish him a speedy recovery!!! I hope this experience will help him change his risk factors and take on a more healthy lifestyle.
