Spleen Mnemonic

Here's a mnemonic for the spleen that's been around for a long time but it still works!

The Spleen is a very "Odd" organ:

1 x 3 x 5 x 7 x 9 x 11 Rule

Spleen size is approximately 1" by 3" by 5"

Spleen weight ~ 7 oz.

Spleen location between the 9th and 11th rib <= Most likely question on an exam!

Thanks to Dr. Nunu Jghamaia for reminding me of this classic mnemonic.  I used to use this mnemonic as a resident when the attendings would pimp us at gross conference!!!!
