The "Ritter Rules" for Aortic Dissection

On September 11, 2003, John Ritter developed severe chest pain and was rushed to the hospital. While being treated for a MI, he passed away from an unsuspected aortic dissection. 

To raise awareness of aortic dissection, The Ritter Rules   where created. Because of it's high mortality, clinicians should maintain a high index of suspicion for acute aortic dissection.
